About Dr. Arseneault
Dr. Jaime M. Arseneault, Ph.D., C. Psych. (she/her) is a Clinical Psychologist who provides assessment and therapy services for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She completed her master’s and doctoral degrees at the University of Windsor and has worked in private practice since 2012.
Dr. Arseneault is registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario and is a member of the Ontario Psychological Association. At Carreira Psychology, she offers a safe, accepting, and supportive environment where clients and families can better understand their experiences, build on their strengths, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Her assessment services include psychoeducational and diagnostic assessments related to learning disabilities and dyslexia, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, giftedness, and mental health concerns such as anxiety, mood, and trauma-related disorders. Dr. Arseneault uses a strengths-based approach and assessment best practices to develop a thoughtful understanding of each client’s unique presentation—including both areas of difficulty and the abilities, resources, and strengths that can support progress.
Dr. Arseneault aims to help clients and families make sense of assessment findings and identify meaningful next steps. Dr. Arseneault’s approach
In therapy, Dr. Arseneault draws from several evidence-informed approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and other modalities.
She tailors therapy to each client’s goals, needs, preferences, and life circumstances. Her approach is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on helping clients develop insight, build effective coping strategies, and move toward a rich and meaningful life.
